ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Louie was born and raised in Brownsville and is a proud resident of District 4. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.B.A. in Business, and was a TCU athlete. Louie returned to Brownsville in 2020 to focus on making Brownsville better, and has been involved mentoring local students, working with the local Realtors’ Association, and serving on the Board of the Gladys Porter Zoo.
Louie is a commercial real estate & business professional who has expanded Brownsville’s retail options and brought jobs & economic growth to Brownsville. Louie supports the revitalization of Downtown and the expansion of the city’s Cultural District.
Louie is committed to making our neighborhoods safer, fighting for new road & drainage improvements, and making sure the voice of the people of District 4 are heard.
ISSUES
PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODS
A strong city not only focuses on jobs & roads, but also about quality of life. People should not only be safe, but feel safe, living, working, and enjoying District 4.
Louie will make sure our police & fire departments are fully-staffed, and they have the tools necessary to protect our neighborhoods.
FIX OUR STREETS
Strong neighborhoods need the right infrastructure. District 4 contains some of the oldest, and least- developed parts of our city, which means that the people of District 4 have to deal with constant road & drainage issues.
Not only do we need to fix our streets & drainage issues, but we need to plan for future development to make sure that District 4 grows with the rest of Brownsville.
GROW OUR ECONOMY
As a real estate & business professional, Louie understands how to build a strong economy for District 4.
Louie is determined to bring new businesses and high-paying jobs to the people of District 4 by expanding the 281 commercial corridor and revitalizing Downtown Brownsville which will create a strong economy that will benefit our city and our schools.

District 4 has long been seen as a District on the “other side of the tracks” from the rest of Brownsville and for too long it has fallen behind in economic growth, safety, and updated infrastructure.
Louie’s vision for District 4 is one that focuses on its people & communities.
As your next City Commissioner for District 4, Louie will prioritize protecting our neighborhoods, fixing our streets, and growing our economy so that we stitch District 4 with the heart of Brownsville – because when District 4 thrives, Brownsville thrives.
